Cerilliant Announces Alliance with Phytolab

ROUND ROCK, TX – (August 19, 2008) – Cerilliant Corporation is pleased to announce an alliance with PhytoLab GmbH & Co. KG, a German-based laboratory specializing in high-quality reference materials for the testing of plant-based products. Through an agreement signed July 16, 2008, Cerilliant becomes the exclusive distributor of PhytoLab’s phyproof™ reference substances in the United States and Canada.

In June 2007, the FDA implemented new regulations governing the manufacture of dietary supplements in the United States. These regulations are aimed at ensuring manufacturing quality and the identity and purity of ingredients used in the manufacture of dietary supplements. Under the regulations, which phase in over the course of several years, manufacturers must test their products for purity. The use of high-quality certified reference standards is critical to ensure accuracy of this analysis.
