Accurate identification and quantitation of AL-LAD in biological matrices and seized materials supports intoxication case management, post-mortem toxicology, and controlled substance scheduling efforts. Detection relies on LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and UV spectroscopy, with key analytical challenges including low concentrations in biological specimens, structural similarity to LSD and other lysergamide analogs, and limited reference standard availability.
