Also known as monohydroxy carbamazepine (MHC), 10,11-Dihydro-10-Hydroxycarbamazepine is a pharmacologically-active, primary metabolite of oxcarbazepine in urine. Oxcarbazepine, sold under the trade name Trileptal, is an anticonvulsant drug used primarily for the treatment of epilepsy along with reduction of anxiety symptoms and treatment of mood disorders.
