C-peptide, also known as the connecting peptide, is a
31-amino-acid polypeptide connecting insulin's A-chain to its B-chain in the
proinsulin molecule. Measurement of C-peptide blood serum levels can be used to
distinguish between diabetes or hypoglycemia conditions with similar clinical
features. This certified Snap-N-Spike® solution of the fully-intact c-peptide
protein is suitable for use as starting material in calibrators and controls in
LC-MS/MS c-peptide testing methods.
