This internal standard is suited for quantification of norchlordiazepoxide in LC/MS and GC/MS benzodiazepine testing methods for urine drug testing, forensic analysis, and clinical toxicology applications. Norchlordiazepoxide is a major urinary metabolite of the benzodiazepine chlordiazepoxide, indicated for short term treatment of severe anxiety and for the management of acute alcohol withdrawal syndrome. The metabolite, also known as N-desmethylchlordiazepoxide, is pharmacologically active.

n-Desmethylclobazam-8-chloro isomer-13C6 is a stable-labeled structural isomer of N-Desmethylclobazam, also known as norclobazam. This standard is suitable for quantification of N-Desmethylclobazam levels in urine or other matrices by LC/MS or GC/MS for clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, or forensic analysis applications. Norclobazam is a pharmacologically active biomarker and a major metabolite of clobazam, a benzodiazepine marketed under the brand names Frisium, Urbanol, and Onfi for use as an anxiolytic and anticonvulsant.
